Stormy Daniels told tales of Trump — 27 Comments

  1. It doesn’t matter whether it’s true or not. What matters is that it’s one more tidbit of slanderous innuendo added to the pile of propaganda, designed to result in either his impeachment and removal or his reelection loss in 2020.

  2. Oh, Dear. What would JFK say? What would Teddy say? Bill Clinton? How can we tolerate a President with a history of philandering? Well, it helps if he keeps it out of the White House.

I understand the temptation, but, never admired men who did. It wasn’t for me to judge either. It has gone on for a very long time, and we know it isn’t a one way street. So, ho hum.

  3. Clintons trashy behaviors, Hollywood sex scandals, clergy and teacher sex scandals, have rendered ” shocking sex” useless as a weapon against a political opponent. This has been something the Left has been striving for, & they got their wish but perhaps are surprised that it is a 2 way street. Sexual shockers died with my late maiden auntie . Lol.
    You are spot on. Oldflyer,

  4. This bloody country, and its pathetic population of honor-less scum.

We need to bring back dueling.

Or let Dave and Irv run it for a while after Trump.

  5. RE: ” And they couldn’t really challenge Daniels on the subject, because women always tell the truth, right? Right? … Daniels is a Republican, by the way.”
    Then she’s not a woman.

DHS Sec. Nielsen isn’t a woman, either, so Sen. Booker was allowed to tear into her.

[Thanks for the ability to edit. Much appreciated!]

  6. In fact, Trump’s latest tweet has put a new spin on the phrase “Manchurian candidate.”

It turns out that eleven years ago, Stormy Daniels and Trump both had sex change operations. They then exchanged lives. Stormy is Trump, and Trump is Stormy. We have a porn star in the White House.

Hollywood is thrilled, the media are dizzy, and the Democrats have a new-found respect for the office.

  7. Oh my, what have we got ourselves into?

Are they dragging up all these faux controversies in the hopes that all the negative publicity and badgering will make him resign so he doesn’t have to put up with it any longer?

These things – he swore in the oval office! he had an affair with a porn actress! – are so common as to be of no interest to most people, and yet here they come, day after day, week after week. Well, maybe not the porn actress affair thingy, but affairs, in general, are not uncommon these days.

I can’t think of any other reason why the Democrats would try to make such a big deal of this stuff.

  8. Rufus:
Thanks for the link. The questioner had one strawman after another torched with a smile, but like an Energizer Bunny she just kept propping up another. It was well worth watching.

  9. It’s not a case of a boss exploiting his intern. She wasn’t molested while unconscious. It wasn’t even a courtship cut short following discovery. She was not rape-raped or raped. There were no babies aborted the day, month, trimester after.

    Verdict: It’s a private affair.

Edit this. Edit that. T-minus 1 minute.

  10. Couple of comments here:

    1. How does this stack up to Bill Clinton? Is fidelity a requirement of Presidency, and does this depend on partisan alignment?

    2. If Trump paid her for her silence, doesn’t she owe him the money back?

  11. Tim Turner, Re: #2

The WSJ reports that the payment was made right before the election.

The Pornstar spoke about this before that…to another publication…apparently because she was worried that Trump wouldn’t pay. She was trying to sell the story instead.

  12. How can ANYONE have an ‘affair’ with a sex-mechanic ?

Her professional status does not pass unremarked.

  13. Rufus:
I want to add my thanks for the Peterson link.

Watching it this morning is going to make me late for work but it was definitely worth that price.

    Carl

  14. Apparently Jessica Drake also received a settlement…or at least signed an NDA saying she can’t talk about Trump, according to her publicist…who then reversed course on the NDA, presumably because the NDA says she can’t talk about the NDA.

Even her lawyer (Gloria Alred!!!) ain’t speaking about Trump & Drake, Trump & Drake settlement, and Trump & Drake’s NDA…either because Gloria doesn’t like talking about such stuff or because the the first rule of the NDA is that there is no NDA.

  15. When I worked in France, my French friends thought it was crazy not to assume that the President had a mistress. Discussing such arrangements at lunch, they, like Pangloss would remind me that I lived in the best of all possible worlds:

    1. I knew who my politician was sleeping with, big plus…and
    2. It wasn’t a boy?

  16. “Let me tell you what, you can be dark as charcoal and lily white – it doesn’t matter as long as you’re nice to him,” Graham explained. “You could be the pope and criticize him – it doesn’t matter, he’ll go after the pope.

“He’s a street fighter,” Graham concluded. “It’s not the color of your skin that matters, it’s not the content of your character, it’s whether or not you show him respect or like him.” L Graham

  17. Our president has a thing for porn stars, like Charlie Sheen, luckily he didn’t catch any deadly disease like Sheen.

  18. ” . . . have rendered ” shocking sex” useless as a weapon against a political opponent.” [Molly @ 9:56]

As a case in point I remember when Reagan was running for president and a good bit of negative attention was directed toward him because he would be the first divorced president.

Trump is twice-divorced and nary a word other than to mention it in passing.

  19. Geoffrey Britain:

I just watched the debate link you posted. Thanks for that.

The interviewer was very badly outclassed. If she is successful in her profession, she gives a bad name to the profession.

  20. A source tells The Daily Beast that the full, unedited interview that will run later this week is 5,500 words of “cray.”

Then it will fit right in at the Daily Beast.
