  1. Heck, it weren’t nothin.

The Gamma Knife was actually invented by a Swedish neurosurgeon. It uses multiple Cobalt-60 sources, halflife 5.5 years, which for all I know are produced by AECL of Canada.

When we think of gamma rays, we do not think in terms of beam ‘frequency’, rather in terms of beam energy. Cobalt emissions have a much lower beam energy than those generated by a modern linear accelerator. In fact, linacs made Cobalt machines antiques for must uses in the 1970s.

  2. How long?
    I work in the industry

i could tell all kinds of things that have yet to be discussed by people interested in the problem. though the biggest problem is that healthcare is not run like other businesses and if people actually knew the subtle differences, they would easily understand why its so expensive and yet care is not what it could be – and will get a whole lot worse…

  3. I used tp work in the “industry” too, pre-retirement.
There is no point in trying to educate the masses that are stuck on stupid, Art. They all want something for nothing; or, it’s ‘insurance’, they paid for benes, so let’s serve ’em up.

  4. Keep in mind that social security is ALREADY being deflated by using bogus CPI figures.

Medical expenses are weighted as being less than 1% of the average household’s budget!

The medical-pharma cartel consumes 17% of the GDP.

    Try squaring those figures!

It’s obvious that the retirement age has to go up. In fact, it’s ALREADY scheduled to rise to 66, dead ahead.

It’s essential that this number shoots up to 70 ASAP.

I hope that new husband doesn’t get in over his head.

  5. My previous point, poorly made, is that the Gamma Knife is NOT American; it is a Swedish invention and product, probably uses Co-60 sources produced in a Canadian reactor.

It is hard to find something original in medicine since 1960 NOT made in the USA, but the Gamma Knife qualifies.

  6. That’s a good question Neo. I would speculate the BO-care solution for a person with this condition would something like a helmet to keep from banging his head on door jambs, duct tape and ace bandages for his knees, maybe compression underwear for hip problems, pain pills for chronic back pain, and a Obamcare cigarettes to stunt his growth.

  7. Often, while clicking a photo you hurriedly just hit the capture button and then at a later date know that there is certainly something shouldn.

Overall, analysts were all products on this “evolution” of upgrades and features lighter and thinner
made a deep impression. The global mobile handset industry was priced at approximately $133bn in 2009.
