Dueling cowgirls — 7 Comments

  1. Ha! Pecious Neo, but, where were the nickel plated, ivory handled six shooters? The band aide was a nice touch.

My daughter, whose dream was no doubt to be a cow girl– without the cows, just her and the horses–would consider you a prime candidate for one of the “pony and petting parties” she hopes to host with her two ponies, two African pygmy goats, and Pepper, the Portugese spotted hen. Business is slow. Maybe if she adds the pot-bellied pig that she is thinking of, it will pick up. Or not.

I will say that visits to her place are a laugh a minute. Little goats rock; and Portugese spotted hens are cool.
A few minutes with them is a few minutes in which you give no thought to politics, the state of the economy, or the state of the nation in general. We need more minutes like that. Just be careful where you step.

  2. Unless cowgirls are sporting 44-40 (play) revolvers they are merely cute, but not cowgirls.

“Just be careful where you step.”

Same as it ever was when around livestock.

  3. Oldflyer:

I don’t know why I’m not wearing my holster and cap guns in the photo, but I usually wore them when I wore my cowgirl outfit.

  4. OlderandWheezier. thanks. Patsy Montana was a good one. “Cowboy’s Sweetheart” is among my 300-song collection of Western Swing CDs.

  5. Oldflyer:
Just be careful where you step.

Which reminds me of another cowgirl song: Jim Stafford’s Cow Pattie.
“You gotta watch your step when you know the chips are down.”
