Did the IRS also target groups on the left? — 10 Comments

  1. The IRS’s examining a few left-center groups to demonstrate a balanced, non-partisan attitude reminds me of the ACLU’s tactic of defending the American Nazi Party in First Amendment law suits to prove that the ACLU was politically neutral.

  2. Of course they will. They still complain about Scooter Libby outing a CIA agent, five years, seven? after Armitage admitted that he did it and Novak confirmed. They never drop a lie, once it’s proven its usefulness. Lack of truth is never an obstacle.

  3. The ratio is something like 290 TP groups to 5 or 6 ‘progressives’ which is not even handed; but yes, they will use this to dismiss the scandal. Elijah Cummings is their front man in the House and he’s sticking to his story that we speak, see, and hear no scandal.

  4. Look, the progressive groups were targeted. Their applications were separated out and fast tracked to approval.

  5. Given that the Democrats got away with big bold lies about the Iraq intervention, despite that its backstory was frontpage news for over a decade and the mission was endorsed by the last president, a Democrat, it’s understandable that they believe they can spin pretty much any narrative they want.

And why shouldn’t they? They’ve been proven right so far.

  6. Big smile.
“Everybody knows better already, including you.”
    Repeat.

  7. The Left are still amateurs at information manipulation. I’ve seen far better information management and strategies for victory in humanity’s history. I do wonder whether they will improve their warcraft and illusioncraft or whether this is their maximum best plateau.

Because if the Leftist alliance is like this at their amateur like level… what will they be when they become masters of evil?
