Nice rant, Rep. Kelly — 19 Comments

  1. Can you feel that tightening in the muscles around your eyes when you look at the piece of shit that is this piece of shit piece of shit IRS agent?

  2. Something that concerns me a lot is: the IRS and people in the Administration will get away with this. One person is leaving about three weeks early, another is now in charge of Obamacare enforcement. Also, they really don’t think anything wrong was done. The dinosaur media will keep the fuss to a minimum. As our Secretary of State famously said: “What differance does it make?”

  3. I believe these issues (Benghazi, IRS, etc.) are not going to quietly slink away into the MSM night; especially the intimidation by the IRS for political purposes. Anyone who actually pays taxes knows the IRS is a beast of a bureaucracy that can ruin lives and destroy businesses.

    Sharpie,

Well said. I have never had any large measure of trust in DC. My excuse is I was raised that way.

  4. Scary stuff. I’m over 60 now but feel like I did when I learned the truth about about Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy.

    Only this is worse.

This is what our country has become? This is what the Left wants? Really?

    Really?

  5. Finally someone makes this point!

    Iowahawk tweeted earlier today:
“On next year’s 1040, I’m just going to scrawl “I CAN’T REMEMBER” in crayon”

  6. Has anyone else noticed that Mr. Miller looks just like the One-armed Man in the movie, the Fugitive?

    Just asking…

  7. Sharpie…

In firefighting/ scandal control — the IRS gambit is known as a ‘backfire.’

The idea being to create a firebreak — even at the expense of torching something of value.

In the instance at hand, Benghazi can burn Buraq to the ground.

He CAN’T put any distance between himself and those flames.

So… a back-fire is started at the IRS.

It’s so far away from the Pink House that the Wan can tolerate an inferno there.

He just can’t bear to have his own feet held to the fire.

It’s NOT a coincidence that the IRS travesty popped into view: the maladministration launched it — itself.

That last aspect is still not widely understood.

Barry isn’t coming clean — he’s mudding the water even further.

  8. Blert,

Hmmm. I had a hard time thinking that such a thing could be true, but Benghazi does actually implicate Obama more directly.

The IRS scandal as damage control for Benghzai. Well, all it makes my rage do is go from human to Hulkian.

  9. Let’s make our voices heard. Even if your Congress Crtitters are progs, as mine are, you still need to get on the horn and let them know how you feel.

Here’s what I sent out today:
    “Dear Senator Murray,
I cannot tell you how angry and disappointed I am about the revelations that the IRS has targeted conservative groups for discrimination. I am a supporter of the TEA Party. I have always believed it was my constitutional right to peacefully petition my government. Now I learn that someone in the administration (the IRS is part of the Obama administration) believes I do not have this right. Or at least they want to silence me as far as they can. Where did these IRS officials get this idea? Like most taxpaying Americans, I want answers. I demand that you support the appointment of a Special Counsel to get to the bottom of this outrageous conduct.

Today’s House hearings have only deepened the mystery. It seems that everyone in the IRS is related to Sgt. Hans Schultz, who is famous for his patented line:” I.Know.Nothing!”

Someone knows the answers. Let’s get them!

  10. Pretty.

Talk is cheap. I want that org, and the EPA, and the others, shoved out of their positions of power, out of our lives. Don’t talk, fix it. Fair is fair, this isn’t.

  11. Am I the only one who sees Sarah Hall Ingram channeling Dana Carvey — the Church Lady?

  12. Good call, blert. I also couldn’t help but feel that Steven Miller might be related to the one-armed guy that Harrison Ford was trying to find.

  13. I’m proud to say that I voted for the man, and he’s the Representative for my district. I have a newfound respect for him today.
