FBI whistleblowers report an ideological purge — 14 Comments

  1. “All we can do is highlight it, and if we get the majority, we’re going to do more investigations, where we can actually subpoena people to do depositions,”

The most that congressional investigations do is perhaps make more regular Americans aware of the problems. And that only occurs if the media chooses to actually cover the resulting Congressional hearings, which as we all know most media outlets generally refuse to cover stories that reflect badly on Democrats. Sure, most people on the Right who consume news from various more honest sources will become aware of this (if they’re not already), but everyone else will remain ignorant of all this malfeasance due to lack of more mainstream coverage. So the only remedy would probably be winning the presidency with a candidate who was willing to completely clean house at the FBI, which might happen in another 2+ years if we’re very lucky.

It’s a depressing state of affairs when such widespread government corruption is shielded by a largely compliant Media. But that’s where we’re at in this country.

  2. Yet the problem is not that simple.

The bureaucracies now have a life of their own. They openly defied and undermined the last President who was put in charge of him. Putting in a brain addled figurehead who can easily be manipulated.

They likely have reams of intelligence on anyone who even attempts to get elected. Something I suspect has much to do with many peoples sudden change in direction once they get to Washington.

At this point it would need to be an absolutely overwhelming number of reform minded politicians elected. To even consider the changes needed. I dont say that lightly. But as a group you really need to understand the magnitude of what you are up against. It is massive, sprawling entity that has zero compunction about using every dirty trick to stay in power. Even fabricating evidence (see Trump).

  3. If Democrats were not corrupt, not criminal, they would respond by taking the whistleblowers seriously. Democrats admit their guilt when they rugsweep credible allegations.

Everyone should treat the whistleblower allegations as proven. In the law of evidence, as explained by Irving Younger, the trier of fact may consider a failure to deny an allegation as proof of the claim, if the allegation is one that people would be expected to deny and object to if it were false.

Honest people do not ignore serious allegations of abuse of power, denial of due process, corruption and criminality.

  4. “FBI whistleblowers are saying the FBI is conducting a political/ideological purge of the conservatives in its ranks…”

Of course they are, the creation of a loyal U.S. Stasi would be impossible without such a purge. It is also a virtual certainty that new recruits are carefully pre-screened for their cultural and political leanings.

Remember Obama’s proposed “Civilian Army”? This is how the left is going about creating one.

  5. “. . . undoing the institutions’ strongly leftist ideological makeup is an extremely formidable task.” [Neo]

“Yet the problem is not that simple.

The bureaucracies now have a life of their own.” [Mythx @ 3:01]

    Formidable, yes. Impossible, no.

First step: cancel the funding, stop the paychecks, and shut off the a/c and lights and require thermostats to be set at 55 degrees for the winter just to maintain the empty buildings. Get primal and watch how quickly people start paying attention, wailing and gnashing teeth. If anyone wants to make massive structural changes, it’s best not to nibble.

  6. …undoing the institutions’ strongly leftist ideological makeup is an extremely formidable task. –neo

Once upon a time the FBI had a strong, conservative, patriotic American makeup. That was certainly true in Hoover’s time.

Make no mistake. Hoover’s FBI was plenty corrupt and, in the larger moral dimension, could be evil. But that FBI was not leftist.

    What changed?

    I’m still persuaded by Breitbart:
    ___________________________

    Politics is downstream from culture.

I’ve lived through the 1950s through the early years of the 2020s.

    American culture changes fast.

  7. To a certain extent, not necessarily a decisive extent, the DoJ depends on being trusted by the citizens.
Fewer and fewer trust and thus will cooperate. If a fed wants to know if I know anything about something or other, I think of a perjury trap. So I know nothing. If I were on a fed jury, I’d think of Richard Jewell and Randy Weaver and vote to acquit no matter the evidence presented. Not to mention the Whitmer kidnapping caper and the J6 marsupial mess. Better that nine guilty go free than one innocent be convicted. Somebody said that.
I look at an FBI agent and see somebody who isn’t troubled by being involved in the organization which murdered so many people at Waco.
Or reports of abuse in the Nassar case, no matter the reports.

Whatever the result, the issue is going to be sand in the gears.

  8. Ever since Hoover’s days the FBI has kept dossiers on all the big pol’s in DC. That’s why they get away with the stuff they do – DC is scared of offending them. “Six ways from Sunday” as Chuckie Schumer said.

  9. The corruption of the executive branch accelerated under Obama. I thought at the time that he was smarter and more dangerous than conservatives thought — shades of Stalin as General Secretary — but I’ve been surprised at just how successful he was.

  10. The first step is to purge the Republican Party of the globalists and RINOs. The defectors from the FBI should be able to help us get the dirt they are being controlled by. Then we give them the choice to immediately resign or be exposed.

This depends on winning control of the Congress of course. Trump and his allies need to start immediately casting the coming election as the make-or-break election.

  11. It’s actually simple, if they’ve got the guts. (Yes, I know.) Assuming they control the House, they simply pass funding at levels far below where they are now. Cutting to 0 doesn’t work, but, say, -25% would do fine. The President cannot add money to the budget.

Of course, that would mean a stand off. The way to handle that is to send partial, not complete, funding bills, department by department. Let him veto away. Again, it’d take a minimum of backbone, which is a problem. But while still important, the MFM liars don’t carry the clout they used to. It would work. (Once again, if only….)
