Hispanics disapprove of Biden, but so do a lot of other people — 10 Comments

  1. One should indeed be skeptical about polling, especially as this was one of the many means by which 2020’s election was rigged (or “fortified”), but the question which remains is how could anyone of sound mind not disapprove of Biden, along with his entire (and entirely horrible) administration, since every policy and every utterance emanating from the Democrats can be described as mendacious, incoherent, destructive, divisive, frivolous, wasteful, illogical, or, in some cases, completely insane.

  2. Biden – a sleepy woke gringo, insists on referring to Hispanics as “LatinX”.

  3. J E,

It’s the same attitude as the link I posted a bit back. Guy was thrown from a speeding car because he wasn’t wearing his seat belt. No matter what he was convinced he made the right decision and was “thrown clear” even though it was completely obvious he made a horrific mistake.

  4. Democrats are facing a political tsunami, only a massive amount of electoral fraud can save them from it..

“Tribalism. Always support your side no matter what.” Griffin

The worse things get, the more the tribe suffers, the less true that is for a growing percentage of the tribe.

  5. Who are the people who approve of Biden’s policies? I’ve wondered about that. Tonight, I saw a bunch of college age kids interviewed on a TV show ad most thought Biden was doing great. My guess is that those under 30 and committed Progressives who are older represent those who approve of him. College students are mostly unaware of economic issues and those just a few years out of college have never experienced inflation, open borders, or gas shortages as adults.

A new housing development near me was going gangbusters last winter. Suddenly the pace of building has slowed. Higher interest rates must already be affecting their sales. Our local grocery stores have meagerly stocked shelves. Is that going to get better under Biden’s policies? Not unless fuel and fertilizer prices come down. The young Biden supporters are about to get a taste of economic reality.
    Asd are we all.

  6. @ J J > “The young Biden supporters are about to get a taste of economic reality.”

“A conservative is a liberal who has been mugged by reality.”

Like the ones who post at the #WalkAway website.

Good news of the day: founder Brandon Straka is back on the job after being a J6 Gulag victim.

I regret that the new meme using his first name makes it awkward for me to cheer him on with the obvious “Let’s go, Brandon!” so I will have to find some other way to express the same sentiment.

PS The maxim has been attributed to Irving Kristol.

PPS Or possibly, just a liberal mugged by a research study.

Proving, of course, that masculinity really is toxic to the Leftist agenda.

  7. FWIW, I have found that periods or dashes can be used to line up columns a bit. Not perfect (what you really need is a fixed-width font, but that can’t usually be set in most blogging comment sections — WordPress sometimes allows exceptions)

    For example:

Tot Rep Dem Ind Men Wom Yes No
    Approve strongly 17% 2% 47% 9% 15% 19% 23% 10%
    Approve smwht 18 2 32 20 16 20 22 14
    Disapprove smwht 11 6 10 14 11 10 8 8
    Disapprove strongly 46 88 2 48 50 43 40 62
    DK/NA 8 2 8 9 8 9 6 6

    ————(%)————Tot—Rep—Dem—Ind—Men—Wom—Yes—No
    Approve strongly——17—–2——47——9——15——19——23—-10
    Approve smwht——–18—–2——32—–20—–16——20——22—-14
    Disapprove smwht—-11—–6——10—–14—–11——10——–8——8
    Disapprove strongly–46—-88——-2—–48—–50——43——40—–62
    DK/NA——————-8——2——-8——9——-8——–9——-6——-6

Somewhat tedious — That took about 3-4m — but it’s a major improvement in readability. It might also require an “enter, then edit” once you see how it lays it out (usually because wraparound is ugly)

The result is far from perfect (perhaps periods would be better).

Another possible option(I haven’t tried) is the non-space space character. There’s a character out on the deeper unicode space that appears as a space, but isn’t. Some fonts translate it into a box, though.

Note — edited that last row to pull out a couple of the first –es, for spacing reasons.

  8. test?test ?test

Yeah, won’t work on blogger. It converts the character U+2002 En Space into a ?

    test?test ?test
Same with U+202F which is a “narrow” space…
