Fetterman has been something of a loose cannon for the Democrats lately
Fetterman has found himself on the opposite side of the Democratic Party numerous times over the last few months. Most controversial has been his outspoken support of Israel, and that has included trolling pro-Hamas protesters, a move that enraged the far-left.
It’s not just his support for Israel that’s causing waves, though. Recently, Fetterman has slammed Gavin Newsom, spoken against Joe Biden’s policy toward Iran, and called for Democrat Sen. Bob Menendez to resign following his indictment for bribery. …
“We have a colleague in the Senate that’s actually done much more sinister kinds of things [than Santos]. He needs to go. If you are going to expel Santos, how can you allow Menendez to remain in the Senate? Menendez is really a Senator for Egypt, not New Jersey.”
I wonder whether any of this will translate into Senate votes that go against the dictates of his own party.
I’m not surprised that Fetterman is at least somewhat of an individualistic rebel who goes his own way, and I’m not surprised that he’s being fairly blunt about it, either. I’m just surprised at the direction “his own way” has taken so far. I’m going to assume the Democrats’ leadership is somewhat surprised, too.

I still think he isn’t all there mentally and IMO this shows it. Not that there aren’t Democrats who don’t like to play nice always.

Exactly what kind of Alice-Through-the-Looking Glass world have we fallen into? John Fetterman sounding lucid and making sense? Dear Lord, what’s next? Dogs and cats living together?
The “Left” will continue to be surprised at behavior. They honestly believe they’re so smart that they cannot be wrong. Blacks, Hispanics, etc will lead us out of this predicament, much to the “Left’s” surprise!
I agree with Steve. I like little if anything about Fetterman. But imo, Fetterman, when speaking on these topics, has appeared to me surprisingly lucid and articulate.

Since Fetterman is defective, he falls into the oppressed class and can do no wrong. That’s my Dx.
Has it been established that there was / is no Fetterman double filling in for him on occasion? Perhaps that is the person making these types of remarks.

I’m a Pennsylvanian and I too have been pleasantly surprised by Fetterman’s recent statements–astonished, even. I never thought that he’d say anything that I could agree with.

Fetterman may be the Luna Lovegood of the Democratic Party – apparently crazy and disturbingly right.
To be honest, Fetterman is making perfect sense. Oh sure he is an odd ball and a bit crazy, but IMO there are not too many Democrat/Communist politicians who aren’t really crazy. All crazy obsessed with how much money they can scam. Money money money. They would never make any statements that make as much sense as Fetterman’s. It may cost them a couple of bucks.
I think it is coming from the tumor on his neck.
I am enjoying the surprises lately from Fetterman. It appears he’s an iconoclast, not just about wearing shorts on the Senate floor but also about his party’s received and unquestionable “truths” of all sorts. Maybe it was the stroke that did it. And maybe it won’t last. But for now, it’s fun to watch.
Fetterman’s unexpected reasonable remarks are a source of joy.
