  1. For more information about the Hamas co-founder’s son, Mosab Hassan Yousef, here is a link to his autobiography (Son of Hamas) and the movie based on his autobiography (The Green Prince).

    Son of Hamas book movie.

  2. My God! I knew it was bad but seeing the videos it is really hard still to believe the destruction. And Biden wants Israel to hold up for “humanitarian” aid? Old Testament on Gaza

  3. SHIREHOME:

And those videos are mild compared to what’s out there. Hamas and its followers committed many many atrocities out of medieval times. When people describe it as “worse than ISIS” they mean what they say.

  4. Here is another hero story I saw yesterday. It’s a story of “Mickey”, a Nahal Oz resident and member of an Israeli Police Commando unit, and his family, wife Miri and child Neta, their suicide pact should capture become a certainty, his fight from inside their house, then their “saferoom”. Mickey had a glock and sufficient ammunition.

Apologies for my inability to clip the video. However, pull the slider to 6:01:20 and his story starts. It lasts around 12 mins+/- : https://www.youtube.com/live/xiFKFpKcafM?si=LFAz5NJtF-dted7N

  5. sdlerr:

If you want to do so in the future, here’s a template for you

    {a href=”xxxx”}text here{/a}

Replace the { and } with less and greater signs, go the page and time you want, right click the image and copy/paste the “url at current time” over the xxxx.

an example of your link here

  6. Thanks Oligonicella, I’ll follow up on this, see if I can master it. (The “right-click” is only a bit of a stumbling block, as I’m working off a tablet with a touchscreen pointer rather than a mouse, but should be able to figure that out.) Thanks again.

  7. @sdlerr:

On a touch screen, finger on screen and hold it. A menu pops up.

A small tutorial on this. here.

No prob, bud. Glad to help.

(Full career in software. Unfortunately, this crap comes natural to me. 🙂

  8. Neo, I shared the videos with friends. One of whom is Jewish and has Relatives in Israel. His family got out of Germany after Krystal Nacht, dispersing throughout the World. His Father enlisted in the US Army, served as a Medic in an Airborne Unit, and got into Germany at the tail end of the War.
    My feeling is No Quarter.

  9. sdferr:

Thanks for the link and that steadfast hero’s story.

The elimination of the Hamashite english-speaking scum who was “negotiating” and anticipating another murder (?) was especially good.

    From the river
    to the sea
    Gazamites
    are dead to me.

    No quarter.

  10. Neo; thank you for posting these videos. It must have been a lot for you to view so many and decide what videos to post. You are braver, and stronger, than me. Thank you!

I have sort of imposed a “video blackout” on myself. I watched a couple of news videos and IDF videos when this first happened. I found it too distressing; so I decided not to watch any more.

Even with these “good news” videos you post I could only watch the one about the father and brother who rescued so many others beside his daughter/sister. And that one ended with the father saying that they have all been given the gift of life – do the best with it you can. Now, that is a real mensch!

I think before this video the last one I watched was from the IDF; they were inside a house knocking on the safe room door letting those inside know that it was safe to come out. A mother and her son were the only ones inside. And, although they blurred her face and the face of her son you could still tell the shock of what they lived through was tremendous.

As for me I would be so scared to open that door – IDF or not!

Om – here’s my chant: From the River to the Sea; May Israel forever be free.

  11. Man. I usually don’t get that worked up over news but JEEZ this has been a rough month.

  12. The Hamas founder’s son shows that it’s possible for the brainwashed to overcome the lies. It takes an open mind and a willingness to reason through the evidence. Unfortunately, many people don’t have open minds or want to look at evidence and judge it as true or false. It’s a rare thing.

  13. ‘these are the times that try mens souls’ its not an exaggeration, if one can look upon this farhud (arab for pogrom) and look past it, ignore it, or worse yet enable more of it,

I guess Bibi was a hero of mine, at least since he was on Nightline, debating the oleaginous Hana Ashwari, when he was at the UN, then I found out about Entebbe, is he perfect, far from but compared to most,

  14. There’s an aspect of the human mind that Hamas is fully abusing: desensitization.
The first time I saw an abdomen cut open in the OR as a medical student, I got lightheaded and was told by the circulating nurse to go sit down in the corner. But after another time or two, I got used to it, and by the end of the month was assisting the surgeon in sewing up the skin.

Then when we got called to the ER to close a scalp laceration, the surgeon handed me the local anesthetic and told me to go ahead. When I stuck the needle into the patient’s scalp, he winced and I got queasy all over again. I had gotten to think of bodies under general anesthesia who could not feel anything as almost ‘slabs of meat’, and upon being visibly reminded that here were awake patients who could feel pain, I had to undergo a 2nd round of desensitization. And in the interests of my medical career, I did.

Fast forward some 40 years. I bring brand new PA students into our cadaver lab, and after putting blades on scalpels, I ask them to make 1″ incisions in the cadaver thighs to learn how much resistance to expect. That day is like being in a chapel as they silently and timidly go ahead with wide eyes.

But 6 weeks down the road, they’re already talking about things outside of class, and by the end of the term, telling jokes and having a good time as they cut.

So Hamas starts their training with little kids. Little surprise they’re so desensitized that they can call their parents and brag. They truly don’t feel it in their specific trained behavior, yet to a psychiatrist, they’d be evaluated as completely sane people.

  15. Bill K

I’ve seen some pretty extreme damage and helped in dealing with it but not surgery like you.

I wonder how many of them had any experience dressing animals?

They used to not allow butchers as jurors, believing that experience made them immune to the evidence.

  16. This is the reaction of one viewer of the IDF video. Graeme Wood has struck me as being not quite such a knee-jerk leftist as some of Atlantic’s writers (although I have not made a study of his complete oeuvre), and he presents mostly his own thoughts, but the subhead is, for a generally leftist pub, telling.

“A Record of Pure, Predatory Sadism”

If you haven’t seen this reference site before, give it a look.

    https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/the-atlantic/

    They rate The Atlantic thusly:
“These media sources have a slight to moderate liberal bias. They often publish factual information that utilizes loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by appeals to emotion or stereotypes) to favor liberal causes. These sources are generally trustworthy for information but may require further investigation. See all Left-Center sources.
Overall, we rate The Atlantic Left-Center Biased due to editorial positions and High for factual reporting based on excellent sourcing of information and a clean fact-check record.”

I can’t evaluate all their ratings, but IMO their scale for Left-Right is perhaps skewed a bit, although not as far as Dan Rather’s belief that the New York Times was “middle of the road” — IOW, pubs may be more a tetch more to the left than MBFC rates them.
