Rudy Giuliani sued for sexual harassment and nonpayment of wages — 28 Comments

  1. Not having been in the room with them I can’t really say what happened, or didn’t, with any reliability…however, I believe the lady clearly gives the game away when she claims that Giuliani said, while allegedly engaging in a particular stagey amorous episode, that he really enjoyed it because it made him “feel like Bill Clinton”.
    Huh?
Why would Giuliani want to feel anything remotely like Bill Clinton?
    Why would he need to?…
(Though, yes, some people—MEN?—really do have rather bizarre tastes as well as odd senses of humor…which are expressed at the strangest of times…)
Methinks, though, she’s gilding the lily on that one.
Protests, on this note, just a tad too much.
Is just a bit too, um, “perfect” to be believable….
    But who knows…?

  2. Both parties come off very badly in the accounts thus far available, Giuliani as predatory and averse to anything even remotely resembling proper behavior in an intimate relationship, his accuser as inclined to exaggeration and willing to do anything for financial gain. This is very different from the suit against Trump, brought by a woman who is clearly an unstable fantasist and intent upon waging a political battle against an ideological enemy, “not that a jury in NYC will truly care”.

  3. oh sure’s shes legit, that sounds like the creepy stalker woman, who falsified covid reports, could be miss hutchinsons twin, (in fact I was surprising she didnt pull that angle on orange man, back last autumn

  4. The fact Jean Carrol won her case, thirty years after the alleged event with zero evidence, is an indictment of a corrupt, dishonest legal system that is no longer about justice, but rather more about who you are and what your views are.

  5. What I don’t understand about Carroll vs. Trump is, if the jury doesn’t believe he raped her, then why isn’t she guilty of “defamation”? All right, so that wasn’t at issue in the trial, but shouldn’t there be a countersuit?

  6. “especially after the Jean Carroll win against Trump.”

Yea, this is the sad thing; now that it has been “successful” it will soon become standard operating procedure.

There will be few winners here: those who are truly innocent will be punished for something they didn’t do; true victims will be seem as political hacks; and, we, the public will be denied honest, valuable, dedicated public officials as good people will decide to not tempt fate by staying away form public service.

  7. Meanwhile, Tara Reade waits for her day in court, apparently unaware that Decent Joe Biden, that protector of all women (especially of the XY persuasion) is far too busy running the country (into the ground) and simply has no time to offer this rather inconvenient woman the succour, assistance, sympathy and compassion he would love to provide, were he less occupied.
The message seems to be, “Wait another 25 or so years, forget some key details, make the accusation as murky as you can, and get back to us…”
Wishing Tara the best of luck…and some excellent lawyers…and an honest judge and jury…

  8. As long as we’re talking about “justice” and getting one’s “day in court”, how on God’s sweet earth could THIS ever have happened!!??
    (Just joking…of course.)…
    “Feds to drop corruption charges on former Democrat rising star Gillum, after acquitted in Fla. court;
“Gillum was charged with 21 counts including wire fraud and making false statements to the FBI.”—
    https://justthenews.com/government/courts-law/federal-prosecutors-move-drop-charges-against-former-desantis-opponent-andrew
    Key (gobsmacking?/amusing?) graf:
“…Andrew has endured a lot over the past few years and now can resume his life and public service…” [Emphasis mine; Barry M.]

Nice gig…if you can get it!

  9. “Gilding the Lily”? (continued…)
Ms. Dunphy SURE KNOWS her audience!! (And plays to it…TO THE HILT!!!)
    ” ‘Get over it’: Lawsuit accuses Rudy Giuliani of mocking Passover;
“Former New York City Mayor and Trump advisor denies claims he told Jews to ‘get over Passover.’ “—

Give the woman an OSCAR! (But ONLY if she—circumspectly, no doubt—will ALSO tell us what Rudi REALLY related—shared?—about CIRCUMCISION! Oh, and NOSES, too!…Well why the heck not?? I mean the lady’s on a roll! …That is, as long as she’s getting all those “Sacred Cows” all lined up!)

  12. Giuliani is a drunk, tragic fool, King Lear like, and this lady as a gold digger. And since it’s nyc, she will get a nice payday.

Alex Jones’s labeled this the nuts and sluts strategy, and it continues being used because it works. They even used it against Kavanaugh, a boys scout.

When someone deliberately records you, it’s a setup.

And she had access to his emails!

We are only in the first act.

    And more drama to follow!

  13. Just to take a step back (for a bit of perspective)…all this really means—together with the Trump trials, the Santos charade, the attacks on Elon Musk, the Hunter Biden whistleblower disappearance, and Garland’s shutting down the IRS Hunter Biden investigation—is that the Republicans are firmly over the Biden Crime Family target.

Will someone take a stab at who will “Biden” target next?
    DeSantis? Abbot? Bloggers?

Keeping in mind that Biden MUST run in 2024; IOW, Biden MUST win in 2024 (since given the current “reality”, if he runs, he wins, that is, “Biden” wins).

  14. well the bureau had his emails after 2019, so did bob from nsa, hi bob, i’m skeptical, for a whole host of reasons,

  15. I voted for Giuliani three times but his private life has been a disaster – two very bitter divorces and he seems to be a bit of a drinker. Why he hitched his wagon so vociferously to Donald Trump is puzzling.

  16. Alex Jones’s labeled this the nuts and sluts strategy, and it continues being used because it works.

Wasn’t the deal with Jones that the judge basically decided Jones wasn’t allowed to defend himself at all? (I haven’t followed the case much but I did hear that part which just floored me.)

  17. Why he hitched his wagon so vociferously to Donald Trump is puzzling.

Maybe he thinks he was a good president . Giuliani was a very good Mayor. Too bad he has the alcohol problem.

These cases show how smart that Sandmann kid was to avoid suing CNN in a DC court.

DA Gil Garcetti moved the OJ trial to LA from Santa Monica to get some black jurors. Old story.

  18. “Wasn’t the deal with Jones that the judge basically decided Jones wasn’t allowed to defend himself at all?”

    My understanding also.

Seems to happen a lot to those not of the left.

Trumps Carroll Rape Trial seems similar.

    Or Flynn’s Trial.

Or the Fox News / Dominion

  19. I voted for Giuliani three times but his private life has been a disaster – two very bitter divorces

Didn’t his ex perform in “Vagina Monologues”? Sounds like a tense situation.

  20. I saw Rudy Giuliani give a talk in 2010 at the university where I work. I also attended a reception for him afterwards. If he was hitting the sauce back then, it didn’t show. He was funny, frank, self-deprecating (IIRC, some of his private life had already made it into the news) and (what impressed me most) great with the students. He came across as a smart, squared-away guy. Of course, that was a long time ago–thirteen years. I’m very sad about his recent troubles.

  21. Giuliani had a rather public battle with prostate cancer in 2020. This is not the standard medical history of a sex criminal.

  22. Judging from the photos, Noelle Dunphy may have “crazy eyes.”

And judging from the photos, it looks like she and Rudy were having an awful lot of fun back in the day.

Also, that she was quite a social climber and name dropper.

It’s clear to me that there was a relationship, but it certainly doesn’t look like an unconsensual hell.

Spend a few years with an 80 year old and you are likely to hear a thing or two that can sound bigoted, but singling out such instances may not give you an accurate picture of a person’s usual speaking, thinking, and acting.

It does sound like Rudy handled things very badly though.

  23. I assume they are lying until they provide evidence, kelton seems to be aspiring to avenatti level of mediocrity, and yes she might hutchinsons older sister
