Tucker Carlson introduces some of the expanded January 6th footage — 47 Comments

  1. Hope it’s just a start, and people are not thinking it’s a one program show.
The two murders of Ashlii Babitt and Roseanne Boyland, the Capital Police violence on the crowd, the operatives working with Scaffold Commander and Ray Epps, and maybe video on the supposed 2 bombs th at seem to be a head fake.

  2. Okay, I just took Barry Meislin (5:31 pm) up on his invitation to sample comments on that news dot yahoo dot com story. The sample at which I glanced was thoroughly pukeworthy. I grieve for our nation/culture.

  3. M J R, I’ve been reading comments from the left about this periodically throughout the day (plus comments from Romney, crybaby, Liz, etc), and it is truly pukeworthy.

Not only do they mischaracterize what Tucker specifically said about what he was airing, they also use the new line, “well, court documents PROVE that Fox lies on air so they can please their viewers while saying privately (in emails and chats) that they don’t believe any of the garbage.” Then saying, since we know they lie, obviously they’re lying about this, too.

They actually say court documents prove this! For anyone who has heard about this lawsuit by Dominion (the voting machines company) against FOX, please watch Glenn Greenwald’s Rumble video from March 3rd on the subject. It’s an eyeopener, and pretty much what you’d expect.

But the point is, CNN and all the rest of the alphabet media is saying the same thing…that court docs PROVE it. Which could not be further from the truth.

  4. Indeed, much of it is sickening.
I suppose I should apologize for not at least having issued a trigger warning…but, well, I thought, Yahoo…’nuff said.

Nonetheless, it is instructive, if unpleasant (well, actually revolting): a kind of “How the other half “thinks”…or rather “spews”.
The brainwashing runs deep and may in fact be indelible.
If so, then what we are witnessing is nothing less than the successful—totalitarian—indoctrination of sheer hatred and hysteria among what was formerly a population that was brought up to value tolerance, merit, fair play, giving benefit of the doubt, compassion, assisting the community.

But at this stage of the game, unfortunately, none of this breakdown is, surprising and none of it is “new”….

  5. “Scoundrel Time”, The Sequel….

AKA, “The Truth sucks. So ban it!”

And from the man without whom it is most likely that none of these revelations would have seen the light of day:
‘Musk accuses Jan. 6 committee’s Cheney, Kinzinger and Schiff of ‘misleading the public'”—
    https://justthenews.com/government/congress/elon-musk-blasts-jan-6-committees-cheney-kinzinger-and-schiff-misleading-public

    Musk gets it.
(So who ya’ gonna believe? Him or Schumer.)

  6. This evening, at NBC News, the only article is quoting a few Republican Senators (McConnell, Tillis, Cramer) who are very critical of the Carlson presentation, and also quoting the Capitol Police who claim that presenting the fact that the event had nothing to do with Officer Sicknick’s unfortunate death was “offensive.” CBS News, about the same. ABC News, same. They are not presenting Carlson’s evidence or any analysis of it.

  7. In fact, those alphabet news agency stories are so similar that one might suspect they were circulated on some leftist “journalist” site and copied.

  8. Oh they’re coordinated, all right.
It’s the collusion we’re all so used to by now.

The powers on high decide what the official line should be and the message gets sent down the line to the loyal (lapdog) media.

The ensuing critical media tsunami will, it is hoped, nip the story-to-be-sandbagged in the bud so as to either effectively bury it, or cause so much confusion about it that it becomes essentially neutralized.

    Works like a charm.
(But who knows what’ll happen this time around?…Since this stuff is dynamite (which is, of course, why it must be squelched and/or distracted from, twisted, misrepresented, pooh-poohed—and why Schumer feels he must threaten Fox, per the expression, “Over the Target”)…).

  9. The Seattle Times did manage to print an article about two suspects about to stand trial for Jan 6 misbehavior, who’ve discarded their ankle monitors and disappeared.

That’s now disappeared, to be replaced by an online drama entitled ‘Tucker Carlson amplifies Jan. 6 lies with GOP-provided video – WATCH’!

Now THAT’S journalistic prejudice, or corruption, take your pick. But it’ll certainly generate great rumblings of blue-state reader content.

Not a word of the demand by recently awakened media for copies of said GOP-provided video.

  10. The pithiest comment from Ace’s site:

The people who cherry picked specific video clips to push a political narrative are complaining about others cherry picking specific video clips to counter that political narrative

  11. You see what you can get away with, when the Press is your pet? The Progressive Left are the Masters of practical cynicism.

The January 6th plot device has served its purpose and the political storyline has scrolled on to new narratives. I don’t expect to see the Progressive Left offer much more than token rebuttal, lest the smoldering ruin burst back into flames.

I appreciate the airing of the video record, but ‘setting the story straight’ is the time-honored Loser’s Strategy from the Right. This was last year; Who Cares, now? You wanna win? Try airing the videos while the hearings are in session. Fight dirty, like they do. Get someone inside and get them leaked. You’re not trying hard enough, if no charges are brought.

  12. much like with twitter until it changed management, they weren’t available,
    ,

  13. Aggie has it right, “You’re not trying hard enough, if no charges are brought.”

This video evidence is meaningless for all of the reasons many here have mentioned. Just as meaningless as the “hearings” where a few of the brave R’s have been slamming Garland, Wray, and the others. They just sit there, nonplused, because they know that NOTHING will happen to them.

Not trying hard enough… Bring criminal referrals? To whom? Garland? Wray?

It’s too late and half of us are going to have to either get out of Dodge, MTG divorce strategy, or some flavor thereof (which you have probably noted has been soundly bashed by the uni-party folks). No one seems to have the ability to see the nuance hidden in her comments.

The rise and fall is mostly complete…

  14. Mitch McConnell was vehement that Tucker Carlson should not have broadcast the videos. The only possible reasons are that 1) He didn’t want any disturbance of the Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger J6 Committee narrative, or 2) he’s protecting himself specifically.

  15. Well the officer in charge of securing the capitol was never informed about the memos on alert

  16. Prosecution does not want to allow defense to present its case.

Although unlikely any actually involved in encouraging violence or setting up innocents will suffer any consequences, if low information public begins to see this kind of stuff, there may be hope for some changes in the way they veiw Democrats.

Also, the Shumer speech,as well as McConnells statement might actually drive some new people to tune in and see what all the fuss is about.

  17. The Capitol Pollice weren’t ready for the protest. Yet, there was intelligence that said they needed to have National Guard backup. But the honchos never shared it with the people who needed it. It was a set up for a false flag operation. That’s the real issue that has to be proved. I see it, but many people won’t get it without more evidence and more answers to their questions.

Tucker is being pretty cagey. A bit like Detective Columbo. He’s baiting the trap for the left. Let them run right into it. At least that’s what I hope he’s doing.

He’s definitely over the target. The flak is getting heavier by the minute.

  18. Kate: “In fact, those alphabet news agency stories are so similar that one might suspect they were circulated on some leftist “journalist” site and copied.”

Yes, Kate, I was thinking the same thing. They were all broadcasting from the same memo. Not only were they wrong in their assessment of FOX; but it was rather insulting to our intelligence.

But, I’m guessing that most of their listeners wouldn’t have heard the original FOX report and that seeing the FOX ratings being higher they have to strike out at their major competitor.

  19. A related question is, how many are, even now, aware of Russiagate? (Or care…?)
Regarding the latter, perhaps Michael Flynn‘s lawsuit will have an effect, but he’s been so effectively branded with the mark of Cain by Obama & Co. (AKA “Biden”) and the lapdog media that I’m not sure the lawsuit will make much of a difference…or even be reported on, for that matter…

  20. Whereupon Tucker Carlson interviews the Capitol Police Officer who was sent “out into the cold”, jettisoned by his superiors, never asked to testify by the Jan. 6 “Commission” and denied his pension…
…while also eviscerating Schumer and skewering Schumer’s GOP group-thinking DEMSYMPs.
    Quite amazing, actually.
“Tucker Carlson talks exclusively with key Capitol Police officer ignored by Jan. 6 panel amid footage release”—

  21. As things slide more and more downhill, the thought of “running away” keeps popping up, but where to run to?

Look at this interesting meditation on the practicalities of that idea here at
    https://accordingtohoyt.com/2023/03/07/running-away/

P.S. Here is the very interesting quote which starts the above article:

“I have an idea that some men are born out of their due place. Accident has cast them amid certain surroundings, but they have always a nostalgia for a home they know not. They are strangers in their birthplace, and the leafy lanes they have known from childhood or the populous streets in which they have played, remain but a place of passage. They may spend their whole lives aliens among their kindred and remain aloof among the only scenes they have ever known. Perhaps it is this sense of strangeness that sends men far and wide in the search for something permanent, to which they may attach themselves. Perhaps some deep-rooted atavism urges the wanderer back to lands which his ancestors left in the dim beginnings of history.”
    ? W. Somerset Maugham

  22. And Mitch McConnell, he of the Uniparty, is mad that the truth is coming out that the Uniparty was together with the Progressives on this to get rid of Trump before he exposed their corruption any more….

  23. McConnell was his usual snake-like self. I wonder how much Chinese money he has stashed away ?

Tucker is the only show I watch on TV.

  24. McTurtle and Chinese money (spouse’s family, cough)? Shocked!

McYurtle the Turtle working closely with Schumer and Brandon? Never, or rarely, or nevermind …..

  25. My senator, Thom Tillis, doesn’t even have the excuse of Chinese money, so far as I know.

  26. Thanks for that, Miguel. I read a couple of things to the effect that Apollo co-founder Black pushed hiring Epstein but Apollo never did hire him, and the controversy was among things which caused Black’s early exit.

However, I don’t know why a global investment firm would be a large Tillis donor. I have contributed to primary challengers in the past, and will again when Tillis is up for re-election. He wins here only because he’s always somewhat better than his Democratic challenger, but only “somewhat.”

  27. Snow on Pine, thanks for the Hoyt link. I have friends, sort of hippie left-wing, who are considering moving to southeast France. They’ve visited. But I think they may have more trouble than they think they will.

  28. I guess I must be slow or something, but I’ve always been puzzled about those of McConnell’s actions which weren’t in line with what I would think someone who claimed to be a Republican–and a Republican leader at that!–would do, or with good tactics.

Now, with this one statement of McConnell’s–about how he wants to “associate himself” with the Democrat’s version of January 6th–he has made it unmistakably clear that he is a member of the Capitol Hill “Uniparty,” and not a Republican at all; actually as someone who is really only out for himself, and his personal power.

He obviously couldn’t care less about the constituents or the Constitution he is supposed to serve.

I must say that the advent of Trump and all that has flowed from it has been instrumental in getting any number of people–and especially politicians–to reveal just who they really are, and what their actual goals are.

  29. in the netflix series marseilles, the protagonist who is a fatter version of sarkozy, points out how the gaullists use the voters in the banlieus, to keep out the national party, as they call it

  30. this has been true since the tea party days, when he collaborated with rove, in his off broadway shows,

  31. He obviously couldn’t care less about the constituents or the Constitution he is supposed to serve.
    ==
He’s refuse, and he should have been punished for throwing the midterms. Four out of five Republican senators favor keeping him, even though he is 80 years old and has been an ineffectual failure for 16 of those years. He’s not the only pile of refuse in the Senate.

  32. Kate–The problem is that the U.S. is the “last best place,” and we have lot of world- wide influence, so, if we go down, a lot of other places will go down with us.

Moreover, given today’s world–wide travel and communication–the insidious plague of leftism has already infected practically every country in the whole world.

So what does that leave us with as a possible place to go for refuge? The UK, France, Canada, Spain, Portugal, New Zealand, Australia, or elsewhere?

    Take your pick.

Each one of these countries is dealing with it’s own version of the leftist plague, and as the Hoyt article I linked to again below reminds us, fitting in to a new country and culture is not by any means an easy, or even sometimes safe, thing to do.*

    * See https://accordingtohoyt.com/2023/03/07/running-away/

  33. Agree with Snow on Pine, and Dennis Prager that America is the last best hope. Europe has its own invasion issues and falling to Leftists but soon they will fall as well.
Australia isn’t any better in Leftist takeover.

  34. “The Capitol Pollice weren’t ready for the protest….”

    Oh they were ready alright.
    Ready to get people inside.
Ready to make the whole thing get out of hand.
Ready to incite and then escalate the violence.
Ready to cause a whole lotta hurt.

    This is sick:
    “Newly Released Surveillance Footage Challenges Official Jan. 6 Narrative;
“List of troubling questions from Jan. 6 keeps growing as more video is made public”—
    https://www.theepochtimes.com/newly-released-surveillance-footage-challenges-official-jan-6-narrative_5105498.html
A few random key grafs (RTWT):
‘…In Carlson’s second Capitol videos special on March 7, he will tell the story of U.S. Capitol Police Lt. Tarik Johnson, who said he was left without direction on Jan. 6 by assistant Capitol Police chief Yogananda Pittman.
‘ After taking to the radio to ask for permission to evacuate the Senate, Johnson got no response. Even after the USCP dispatcher repeated Johnson’s call for direction, there was silence from the Command Center.
‘ Johnson forged ahead with the evacuation and went on to direct the evacuation of the House. He said on the radio that he would take any discipline for acting on his own…
‘ “There was no response from anybody at the Command Center,” Johnson told The Epoch Times. “I say even before I initiated evacuation, I say specifically, ‘We’ve got to start thinking about getting the people out before we don’t have a chance to.’
‘ “I heard no response. Then I asked for permission to evacuate. I heard no response.”
‘ Johnson said the Command Center’s silence caused the loss of precious time that might have prevented the shooting death of protester Ashli Babbitt at about 2:45 p.m. on Jan. 6.
‘ Johnson became known to much of America as the Capitol Police lieutenant who wore a bright red Make America Great Again ball cap while he worked with a pair of Oath Keepers to rescue 16 USCP officers trapped in the foyer inside the massive Columbus Doors.
‘ Johnson was suspended by USCP and later accused of rules violations, including conduct unbecoming, for wearing the Trump hat and working with the Oath Keepers on the officer rescue. He said he believes those charges were actually brought because the evacuations and other split-second leadership decisions he made embarrassed Pittman….

    “Embarrassed Pittman”?
    Um, no.
When you’re orchestrating chaos and mayhem, you don’t want some principled, quick-thinking, committed, professional officer with a conscience like Lt. Johnson to screw up your carefully laid plans by getting people OUT of very place you want to them to be, the very place where you’ve expended a lot of thought and planning into getting them.
And of course you’re not going to give any directions WRT getting those people to safety…so why should you respond to any requests for orders?
Why should you actually reward on officer who helped save fellow officers when what was desired—what was needed—was as many injured, even seriously injured officers, as possible.
Which is obviously why no outside LE or National Guard was “needed”—that is, WANTED.
We’re talking about depraved psychopaths in the Democratic Party from the head on down.
(Just so we know what we’re talking about, there’s no way that Joe Biden is at the head of this monster. And their underlings. And their media/infotech enforcers.)

  35. Anyone with half a brain who had read any newspapers, seen any TV, or looked on the Internet had to have known/realized that there would likely be demonstrations, and potentially large and perhaps rowdy ones.

This could not have been the complete surprise to the Capitol police that it is being made out to be.

  36. Now the assholes of Congress are demanding that the videos be censored, claiming they are “cherry picked” to show “less violent actions” in direct opposition to the proper and obvious solution.

YOU bastards have ALL the videos. If you think they are being cherry picked to suggest less violence than there was, it’s pretty clear the best response to that is to show MORE video to make that point, not to suppress the videos you don’t want people to know exist.

“If there is time to expose through discussion the falsehoods and the fallacies, to avert the evil by the processes of education, the remedy to be applied is more speech, not enforced silence.”
    – U.S. Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis –
