Twitter Files #15: More glimpses behind the Potemkin village the left built
The latest edition of the Twitter Files can be found here. It’s another series of revelations about the Potemkin village built by the left to attack Trump and the right.
But according to Taibbi, there was a big problem in the claim about the “Russian” accounts. Hamilton 68 had a list that they refused to put forward–and the proof of how they were supposedly “Russian” accounts.
The kicker here? When Twitter investigated, they found they weren’t Russian accounts at all; this was all nonsense, according to Twitter…
What Twitter found was the accounts were mostly real American, Canadian, and British accounts.
Twitter Safety head Yoel Roth said that they were essentially calling right-wing accounts Russian bots and right-wing conversations “Russians.”
You may recall that the left also smeared the WalkAway campaign as being composed of Russian bots. That seems to be their all-purpose ploy. Russia, Russia, Russia:

Taibbi and Kirn pretty much stayed on this topic for the entire broadcast this week, and it was very good. They have an excellent rapport with each other.

I remember seeing that movie in the back of a station wagon, at the drive-in, by the way – and not too far from where it was supposed to have been set.
At some point in his thread, Taibbi links to a post by AFD that attempts to refute Taibbi’s claims.
They sound persuasive — because these things always do — but both parties make assertions that can actually be tested.

40.The mix of digital McCarthyism and fraud did great damage to American politics and culture. News outlets that don’t disavow these stories, or still pay Hamilton vets as analysts, shouldn’t be trusted. Every subscriber to those outlets to write to editors about the issue.

I remember that movie. I saw it several times on TV as a kid.
Even as a kid, I saw it as leftist propaganda to give Russians a human face. But I enjoyed the movie and sympathized with the Russian characters while watching it.
