  1. No to Soup! Sandwiches yes but not today. Sat for the Sandwichers and Sun for all the leftovers dinner. We had 12 lb Turkey and the leftovers look to be manageable.

  2. Soup simmering on the stove right now. Turkey carcass from yesterday, commercial chicken broth, black peppercorns, a peeled onion stuck with whole cloves, a couple of ribs of celery, cut in pieces, a couple of scraped carrots, in pieces, and 3-4 bay leaves. I’ll fish out all the veggies and bones after lunch, cut off the meat, add brown rice and freshly-diced veggies, and simmer until the rice is cooked. It will be ready to package in smaller containers to go home with our daughter when she leaves tomorrow morning, along with leftover portions of sliced turkey and dressing.

  3. Turkey stock that we made after dinner yesterday is waiting in the fridge to be prepped for soup. That won’t happen for another day or two, while we plow through the other leftovers. Somehow, there are scattered remains of four pies on the counter. That’ll be corrected before dark.

Not going near a store today. Bruins play Hurricanes at 1:00. Then at 2:00 I’ll have to start switching between games to keep up with the Avalanche v. Predators. England v. USA in the World Cup at 2:00 if soccer is your thing. If soccer isn’t your thing…well, they’re still playing at 2:00.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Despite my many troubles, there’s still plenty more to be grateful for. It’s more blessed to give than to receive. For the doubters, would you you prefer to give or receive CPR? Blessings, y’all.

  4. Day to pack up about half of our leftovers and then sent home with our daughter. Her boyfriend was subjected to a vegan thanksgiving at his family’s and was not happy. So, we sent him a CARE package so he can have a real dinner.

  5. Sandwiches today.. Soup tomorrow.. !!
Neo hits the mark once again – What is on the mind of the neoneocon? (aside from ballet, that is)

  6. I’m not sure if you ever found a solution to the hard boiled egg peeling problem, but if you haven’t the solution is cook them in an instant pot. The shells literally fall off!

  7. Biden’s oligarchic handlers sure are desperate to defeat the law, efforts that ought to get XiDen impeached and removed from office ASAP.

At The Washington Examiner, Paul Bedard relates this novel conspiracy — nw directly between the US and Mexican governments.

It seeks to pre-approve illegals for support and freedom to work in the US without any dangerous border crossings or hazards like robbery or rape by cartel handlers.p:

[Center for Immigration Studies or CIS investigator] Bensman, who has revealed several loopholes in Biden’s immigration policies, called the program “part of a purposeful strategy to create workarounds to court-ordered expulsion policies but also to reduce politically painful illegal crossing statistics by channeling ever more people through these legalized crossings. While neither DHS nor the White House has publicized this legalized entrance program, DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas has repeatedly telegraphed it in his oft-stated intentions to create ‘legal pathways’ as part of the administration’s overarching ‘safe, orderly, and humane’ vision for southern border immigration.”

The CIS report questioned the legality of the program in describing how it works:

“Twice a day, seven days a week since September, Mexicali city officials working closely with Biden’s U.S. Customs and Border Protection, on a secure shared ‘CBP-ONE’ online platform, select hundreds of people a month for their escorted government-to-government handoffs through the land port of entry to Calexico, Calif. Once the Americans check their paperwork, they legally admit intending illegal border crossers … into the U.S. interior under a questionable authority known as ‘humanitarian or significant public benefit parole.’

“They are free to start new lives under the benefit, with work authorization and the right to apply for asylum part of the package.”

Bensman said that officials in Mexicali gave him access to the “legalized border-crossing operation” that began in September from several bases, including Cancun.

Amazing the desperation to circumvent accountability and the law like this.

  8. Meanwhile, Tucker Carlson takes on Fauci and the information blackout on a certain topic. He’s been edging toward this gradually, but this may be his most frontal critique yet, asserting that the data on the blacked out topic is clear. Whenever Tucker and his team appear to address something late in the game, it seems to be the result of letting evidence build to the point where they can state their case categorically with confidence.

This story is yet another example of a deeply divided and polarized society. Fauci is a hero to many, but many others want to see him hanged.

  9. Does anyone think that the rape lawsuit against, by Ms. E. Jean Carroll, will succeed?

Just what I’ve read about her, her case seems very far-fetched.

As I under stand it: she says that she was sexually assaulted/raped one time, by a group of boys. [I’m not doubting that this type of crime could happen]. And she also says she has a great mistrust of teenage boys, + of most men,…likely because of this sexual assault that was done to her.

But now, looking at the present- she’s starting a lawsuit against Donald Trump, accusing him of- convincing her to go into a store, a store that just had him in it, and she also accuses him of raping her in that store.

I’m really puzzled as to why this case can go to court since:
1] she seems to be a VERY pro-feminist writer, who has a serious dislike of most men, 2] she doesn’t sound like someone who would be around men she doesn’t know at all, like Trump, because of the violence done to her in the past, and 3] She doesn’t sound like someone who would say to herself: I think it is OK to go into a store or building…,with nobody and no clerks in it…, and go into a dressing room with a man I don’t know…, AND this man is called by many reporters: a rich, powerful, greedy, bullying, white man. Would she really go into a building with someone, or into a room with someone, in these situations? Would she really trust a person + go with him, with all of these red flags on this event?

    What do you think?

Do you think that the courts will find him guilty, with the story or list of alleged events, that she has told people?

  10. named after the Italian opera star Luisa Tetrazzini, who may have eaten a few servings in her day.

Good Housekeeping published the first reference to turkey tetrazzini in October 1908, saying readers could find the dish of cooked turkey in a cream sauce, with spaghetti, grated cheese, sliced mushrooms, and bread crumbs on top, at “the restaurant on Forty-second Street.”

I’ll skip the peas. Otherwise, it looks as good as it sounds.

  11. @ Kate > “Another thing to be thankful for, from always-interesting Michael Barone. “Give Thanks for the Northwest Ordinance.” – so much for the So much for the idiotic “1619 Project.” – ”

That was an excellent essay (I saw it earlier today via Powerline’s Picks).
I don’t think I realized before just how important the NWO was, only that it was a burr under the saddle of the slave states.

  12. The brennan center is a pusher of all things lawfare they prepped the ground work for reids cancelling the filibuster they are not a reliable source

  13. If people would, please respond to my above comment. I really am concerned that Trump could be found guilty, under such a suspicious court case.

What I mean is- if he could be found guilty in such a court case, how can the average person, who doesn’t have Trump’s wealth + influence, defend themselves against that type of lawsuit?
