Come to the US illegally, strike it rich
This news should be impossible to believe. But unfortunately, we know it’s very possible:
The Biden administration is in talks to offer immigrant families that were separated during the Trump administration around $450,000 a person in compensation, according to people familiar with the matter, as several agencies work to resolve lawsuits filed on behalf of parents and children who say the government subjected them to lasting psychological trauma.
The U.S. Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, and Health and Human Services are considering payments that could amount to close to $1 million a family, though the final numbers could shift, the people familiar with the matter said. Most of the families that crossed the border illegally from Mexico to seek asylum in the U.S. included one parent and one child, the people said. Many families would likely get smaller payouts, depending on their circumstances, the people said.
That link is to a story that appeared in the Wall Street Journal, an outfit not usually given to wild flights of fancy. Will this actually end up happening? Quite possibly. Will most Americans even hear about it? I doubt it – but if it does happen, I hope all Americans hear about it. There would be few things designed to make all sane Americans realize the deeply misplaced priorities (and that’s putting it kindly) of the current administration.
…[I]n a “complicated [and] complex piece of litigation,” 940 legal claims have been filed by families who say they were “forcefully broken up” after crossing into the United States from Mexico. The families filing the claims say their children were traumatized and suffered from a range of ailments — including “anxiety” and a “fear of strangers” — all apparently justifying the average claim of $3.4 million payout per family.
The Biden administration has been in talks designed to reach an agreement on the claims, although some involved are having troubling stomaching the fact that the payouts amount to more than the victims of 9/11 received.
How about the trauma the children suffered from uprooting them and subjecting them to the long trek to this country? And do you recall why the separations occurred (one reason being the possibility of child trafficking)?
Among other things, settling these suits at this level of payment – or really, any level of payment – will encourage more and more and more of them.
The US government has an enormous amount of legal resources and money to defend these suits if it wishes to do so. Clearly, it doesn’t wish to. My guess is that this is a fish the Biden administration is throwing to its extreme left flank (the administration has nothing but left flanks, but there are degrees of leftness), a group that hasn’t been too happy with the administration’s progress lately on the radical bills that are stalled in Congress.
The Biden administration doesn’t seem to care much about offending moderate Democrats – if indeed any such people remain. It certainly isn’t reluctant to offend Independents. It must have tremendous confidence either that future elections are in the bag for Democrats no matter what, or that any electoral setbacks will be temporary in the new America it is engaged in designing.
An online friend asks: Will there be any payouts to Americans who are victims of criminal activity by illegals allowed into the country and allowed to roam free within the country by the Biden* Admin?

Are the current government heads purchasing legions of mercenaries, young strong people by allowing them in with their families and friends? They take the money with agreements of loyalty to those who are currently in power and how do they repay that debt. This stuff scares me because there are thousands and thousands of them entering our nation every month and will the $450K become signing bonuses for a mercenary force. I suspect a lot of these people heading this way are not just peasant farmers and a lot of them have had military experience as both leadership, staff and front line troops.

It is like the City of Minneapolis giving George Floyd’s family $27 million. It was political theater for white liberals. In a conventional lawsuit without the PR, Floyd who had no legal earnings and who died of a drug overdose and heart attack would have gotten nothing.
The whole point is that white leftist seem to be eaten up with a sense of guilt, and the United States and the non hispanic portions of western civilization must be sacrificed to appease their guilt.
The Democrats are paying the lawyers for the families, all of whom are Democratic operatives, not the families. This is the Democrats laundering the money they are stealing from the treasury. This country is pure banana republic- open theft.

Families of nine people killed in an attack at a Black South Carolina church have reached a settlement with the Justice Department over a faulty background check that allowed Dylann Roof to buy the gun he used in the 2015 massacre.
The $88 million deal, which includes $63 million for the families of the slain and $25 million for survivors of the shooting, was set to be announced Thursday in Washington, according to lawyers involved in the settlement.
Weeks before the church shooting, Roof had been arrested on Feb. 28, 2015 by Columbia, South Carolina, police on a drug possession charge. But a series of clerical errors and missteps allowed Roof to buy the handgun he later used in the massacre.

I would contend if this was done most of a $450,000 settlement at least half would go to lawyers, much of the budget allotment to the bureaucracy to run the program. Leftists always seem to grow their public employees on the backs of programs.
It’s a bit of a no-lose situation for them really, and just an extension of the ‘friendly lawsuit’ agreements that they’re so fond of when bypassing the law in environmental cases.
They can pin all the blame on Trump – it was his ‘super-duper-horrific’ policies that led to the legal cases brought by these poor downtrodden ‘refugees’. It would have cost $zillions to defend, so this is both the humane and financially-sensible thing to do. All of which will be happily parroted by the media.
And as everyone else has mentioned – all the right people get extra money in their pockets courtesy of the taxpayer.
If this weren’t a Dem administration, the government would challenge these lawsuits rather than settling them. This is insane.

Glenn Beck had a couple of shows back in the Obama years about Cloward and Piven and bankrupting America to usher in a Socialist/Communist system. I’ve been screaming it from the rooftops every chance I got since then…and now they are openly doing it. Unfortunately, there are people who STILL think it won’t happen here. This is ominous. If normal people will continue to vote for Ds in spite of news like this, i am afraid that we are headed for a great catastrophe, and not a made-up one like climate madness or pseudo coups. It’s frightening to think that half the country sees nothing wrong with these *jackals* helping themselves to our hard earned dollars to just straight up buy power. It is going to take a catastrophe to change things at this point. The “free stuff” crowd and the crony crowd are just expanding too fast to even fight against, and they can’t be convinced because they are either too stupid to understand the framework of rights and agreements our freedom and welfare rests on or they are just utterly immoral and would help themselves to someone else’s property without a second thought. Not one thing they profess to believe in is inviolable, not “me too”, not equality, not the rule of law. Partly, maybe even mostly, it is because these are deeply stupid people. There is an intellectual divide in this country and it has nothing to do with education. It has to do with judgement and morality and having a work ethic and earning your own way while you can and accepting help when you can do no more and offering help to those who are truly in need.

“Boy, it sure would be nice if we could xyz because that seems like a nice thing to do FULL STOP”. They never even think about the possibility of unintended consequences or risk vs benefit which conservatives do instinctively. This is why they hate us, because they know deep down their positions are stupid and can’t be defended and this is also why they are so ugly in their pursuit of our silence because preservation of that tingly little pleasure in themselves is *everything* to them. That is why Joe Biden can say out loud that foreign nationals should swarm the border and half the country can hear him say that and STILL vote for him. Because they literally can’t think past “it would sure be nice to help out all those poor sad people who want to come here FULL STOP”. That is why they can totally destroy our education system and keep their jobs (“whole language sounds like a good idea, let’s just stop teaching phonics”). That’s why they decided that homicidal maniacs should be released to the “least restrictive environment” (homeless camps). Anyway, getting back to the original point. We have a lot of resources at our disposal but so did Venezuela. These fuckers are going to have to lose everything and even then they will try to blame it on Trump.
