  1. Wakes up one day- ” I think it would be so cool to crack a walnut with my forehead”

  2. John Guilfoyle: The Guardians announced that in their desire to be as inoffensive as possible (and in keeping with the sentiment of their new name) they will only play defense and refuse their turn at bat.

  3. Your tax dollars at work – calling all Environmental Justice and Equity Advisors (professionals):

“The Earth Systems Science Division at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is currently seeking a nationally/internationally recognized Environmental Justice Advisor to join its Risk and Environmental Assessment (REA) Group. The individual will develop and lead a multidisciplinary team of subject matter experts assisting federal agencies with developing strategies and guidance to support environmental justice and equity goals around climate and energy project impacts as well as to analyze environmental justice consequences from various actions to satisfy regulatory requirements and to develop creative solutions for environmental justice impacts.”

Here’s the link for the position:

With my “equity” score or experience in “equity”, I do not meet the required qualifications. I’m heartbroken. Back to breaking walnuts or Brazil nuts. 🙁

  4. You’re just Too Damn White, Om. You could jump much nearer to the top of the list if you showed up for your interview in a dress and stilettos. Hint, hint.

According to the 2010 Census only 1.4% African Americans in your burg. My felicitations.

  5. James Sisco:

And not just having the idea, but the follow-through. All those hours of practice!

  6. It’s the Caste System.

He belongs to the Cracking Walnuts with Forehead Caste. To the manner born.

  7. Can Do! doesn’t recognize sarcasm and seems to think no one but he knows how the equity and diversity police in corporate HR and gov HR works in the USA.

I put the job posting up to show how the guidance from the Executive Branch has filtered down to the grifters at PNNL who seek to expand their not-for profit income.

The environmental justice spiel was a big deal in the BHO regime. Dogs and vomit all over again.

  8. This is not from the Babylon Bee:

“As the geosciences strive to be more accessible, the community must recognize that BIPOC and other marginalized geoscientists are not always safe in geoscience spaces. For example, holding objects (e.g., a rock hammer) has been viewed as “suspicious” and, continues to be, used as a reason to call the police on Black people, which can lead to the death of Black individuals, entirely because of racial profiling and an unjustified fear of Black people.”

Yes, blacks don’t become geologists because they’re afraid that if they lift a rock hammer, a cop will shoot them.

  9. Xylourgos:

Yes, geologists used to look at rocks in the “field” i.e. outdoors at outcrops and dig in the soil i.e. dirt. If those outcrops are at a roadside or are a roadcut a police officer might show up if you are posing a risk to drivers. But the crime of doing geology while black is just woke B.
    S. There is probably more of a culture problem, American blacks don’t seem to like that whole great outdoors thing IMO. Geology is mostly outside after all.
