The Pennsylvania voting numbers don’t add up — 32 Comments

  1. Patrick Byrne, a very bright and successful entrepreneur (founder of Overstock.com, and by no means a traditional conservative) is only one of the numerous public figures brave enough to question the legitimacy of last month’s election, which no sane and rational person could claim was free and fair; in fact, our recent fraudulent farce of an election met many of the criteria adduced some years ago by our very own Department of State as nearly certain proof of rigged elections in the developing world.

  2. Well based upon this new info out of Pa, we can rest assured that US Senator Pat Toomey, the “republican” senator from Pa., will once again proclaim that there is no evidence of significant voter fraud.

Then again the US Senate’s “republican” majority leader has already thrown in the towel proclaiming Bidet the prez.

You can always count on dumb-publicans to bend over for the demokrats.

  3. There is no excuse whatsoever that one does not have to show up in person with picture ID and proof of citizenship to register to vote. And, once registered, show up in person with picture ID (1) to vote or (2) to request an absentee ballot, unless physically unable (in which case a deputy registrar would go to you).

Vote fraud should be a capital crime – nothing is more important than the integrity of elections in a representative republic.

And, I’d even favor the Heinlein position: after some date in the near future, require new prospective voters to show proof of military service.

  4. Here in New York Governor Cuomo just signed a law authorizing “automatic voter registration” whenever a citizen applies for government services. They claim there is an “opt out” provision, and the person is effectively certifying that they are eligible to vote. However, there is no criminal penalty if ineligible persons who apply for registration do not do so “knowingly”. It’s insane. I don’t believe registering to vote should be hard, and I don’t believe unreasonable obstacles should be placed in the way of registering. On the other hand, it should be done as a conscious act with protections against fraud. The best part is how they say this blatant effort to potentially load the rolls with people who did not intend to register or are not eligible part of a suite of “reforms”.

  5. neo,

You are correct. In accounting and computing, simple, basic audit processes are typically done throughout many steps of complex processes. “Footing” totals or “checksums.” It’s a simple process to determine if anything was missing, or lost on a specific step. If totals footed and checksums coincided at the end of steps 1, 2 and 3, but they don’t at the end of step 4 an auditor will go back and review step 4.

One would assume comparing voters casting ballots to ballots tallied would be the first, basic check election officals would do. In a legitimate election the first number can be larger than the second, but the second cannot be larger than the first. If the second number is larger than the first, compare the results from each precinct to pinpoint where the error(s) is/are coming from, then do a deep dive into that/those precinct(s).

    Absurd, pathetic, vile.

  6. Neo observes, ” But I don’t think the [fraud] evidence will ever get a fair hearing in court. The courts wish to avoid the issue”

So we have judges in high places that are cowards at defending a most critical component of the American Republic, honest voting.

The Judicial branch is out of the game. The fraudulent Dems, representing the Legislative branch, oppose any action, obviously, since they are the authors.

So we are left only with the Trump Executive branch. What is Trump to do? Declare martial law? Or go quietly into that goodnight of endless NY district attorney “criminal” litigation?

Trump has been pretty quiet lately. Another stone will drop before Hunter takes to the Lincoln bedroom.

  7. In Wisconsin the clerks have up to 45 days to get voter info into the state “my vote” database. That database says who voted and how (in person or absentee) / where they voted. In my town they get it entered within a week or so. myvote.wi.gov
So, this data may not have been available right away in PA.
I’ve seen it stated in the fine print in news articles that there are 3 ‘small’ counties that still haven’t entered their data in PA.

  8. To use the term Banana Republic is an insult–to banana republics. In my opinion the country is lost. It is problematic as to whether it can ever be found again.

In the name of equality (or is it equity?) we have completely convoluted our system of representative government.

I am sure everyone saw the reports today that a Federal Judge in Georgia has blocked efforts to tighten up vote verification before the runoff election. She is the sister of Stacey Abrams.

Will an appeals court have the nerve to slap her down, as they should? Problematic.
Censure her, as they should? Not a chance.

I am sorry to say that although President Trump thought his signature achievement was transforming the federal courts, it was to no avail.

  9. Oldflyer
Trump did what he could, by the hundreds.
This was a pre-emptive effort by vote-fraud Dems, filed with a black Obama appointee related to roachy Abrams.

Cannot easily remove District judges once approved by the Senate.
The last one I recall was a corrupt, bribe-eating, totally rotten black Dem in FL who was in fact impeached by Congress and removed from his judgeship. He has been elected to Congress ever since!

  10. Oldflyer,

I apologize for being so cynical, but having grown up in Chicago none of this is surprising, or unusual in the least. It’s simply that enough populous counties have become Chicago now. Chicago city elections have always been banana republic-esque. Well, I shouldn’t say always. Often fraud isn’t even necessary because altruistic folks give up and don’t even participate. You undoubtedly saw the video testimony of the man and woman (both immigrants, I believe) in Detroit who expounded on the fraud they witnessed. It’s completely ordinary. In deep blue, urban precincts democrats do whatever they please. What’s the remedy? Complain to the District Attorney. Oh, she’s a Democrat too. In a one party system anything is permissible.

  11. “as a famous personage once said on another topic – “What difference, at this point, does it make?” It makes a tremendous difference in terms of the next election, and the next” neo

If this level of fraud is allowed to stand by the courts and, at this point it certainly looks like it will, then there will be no “next” election. There will only be the pretense of elections with the determination of the winner by the elite well in advance of when votes are cast.

It will be political kabuki theater with “Consent of the Governed” a mere facade.

  12. Cicero, I certainly did not mean to imply that Trump didn’t do what he could. It is simply that the problem is too big. For one thing, it is too easy to Judge shop. I am well aware that Federal judges serve for life and are immune from accountability. I lump the fruits of that decision under the heading of “unintended consequences”. As I frequently observe, unintended consequences are the most common outcome from governmental actions.

Rufus, I doubt that you are more cynical than anyone else. Then again is it cynicism if you view reality accurately? This chain of events was feared, perhaps anticipated, once the wholesale vote by mail travesty was locked in. And yet one could hope.

  13. I see one thing that could be done in red states where the governor and legislature are Republican and there are Dem controlled cities. Like Georgia, Ohio, Texas, and Arizona for example. At election time put the state patrol at the vote counting sites in Democrat controlled cities to insure that observers get to watch for and report any hanky panky. Pass laws making it a serious crime to commit election fraud. And prosecute them. Stop major Democrat machines in cities like Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas, Austin, Houston, and Phoenix from doing their vote counting manipulations. Put and end to the fraud. Publicize it and recommend it to other states.

Another pathway is to get the truth about the Dominion computers and all other such machines in the market. If they are insecure and subject to manipulation (which seems to be the case), ban them from use. Make sure all vote tabulating machines are secure and cut off their feed to the networks. It appears there is a path for manipulation in those network feeds. .

    Well, it’s a start.

  14. I think one thing red counties should Dinis hold their results until the urban centers finish counting and turn in their votes. One issue with the areas that cheat is they can wait to see how much cheating is necessary.

But this country needs election reform. The republicans need to stop rolling over and accepting this cheating as okay. It’s likely too late for this election but if the GOP doesn’t try to fix this, they will never win another election where the democrat machine is in play.

  15. IMO, the Repubs are to blame in this game, insofar as they are flaccid. If elections are controlled by counties and Repubs overwhelmingly “own” these counties, why do they not out fraud Dems. A couple of cycles of outrageousness should cure it. We need a Lee Atwater, just about now. Enough of this bend over, open wide and give me four strong coughs.

  16. Todd, “refutes” is too strong. “A state official did a lot of hand waving, while claiming that every aspect of the election was completely above suspicion,” is more accurate.

Sadly, that passes muster for most media stenographers.

  17. Deebee, the Democratics control the counties containing Milwaukee, Detroit, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Las Vegas and Phoenix. And because these places take longer to report, they have time to “correct ” any mistakes by the outstate voters, such as voting for Trump.

And once a ballot is in the box, mixed with the others, no judge can point it out and say “remove that one.” Fraud must be stopped before the polls close.

Georgia is atrocious. Stacy Abrams completely intimidated the inexperienced Secretary of State. This idiot decided to spend $100 million on a voting system that no one understands or can effectively audit. He allowed the ACLU to run polling stations and a Democratic owned temp service to hire the poll workers.

I’d check Mr. Raffersperger’s off-shore accounts. Some of his behavior simply makes no sense.

  19. You’d wonder, Art. It is possible that he just doesn’t understand how stuff works at that level. A new office holder is very dependent on the permanent staff. If they’re working to undermine him, well, deep state.

A local radio blogger tells a story from about 20 years ago. A new guy in some state office had to deal with a leftover lawsuit. He encountered the attorney general, an old Democratic hack. The AG told the new guy that the suit could be settled a certain, seemingly convenient way.

The new guy told another pol about this. The old hand, a Republican, told new guy, “That’s crazy, and against the law.”

New guy confronts the AG. After a long, knowing look, AG says, “Welcome to St. Paul,” smiles and walks away.

  20. Oldflyer,

I think the only remedy is divestiture, uncoupling.

To go back to Chicago as an example. For decades the rest of the state has been getting pillaged by one county, Cook County, where Chicago and many of its populous suburbs are located.

Population-wise Cook County is ~ 40% of Illinois. Area-wise it is less than 3%. Voting means that Cook County gets whatever it wants. The rest of the state is incapable of stopping it. But Cook County’s will is spread across a land mass over 30 times its size. No candidate, no campaign can stop this. The 60% of Illinoisans who live in other counties need to politically disassociate themselves from Cook County. Folks like Lori Lightfoot, Rahm Emanuel, Kim Foxx… have no idea what farmers in Decautur need, or what is best for coal miners in Cairo and vice versa.

Cook County will likely continue to implode, but the other 97% of Illinois wouldn’t go down with the ship.

  21. J.J.,

It doesn’t appear that you have any experience in large, Democrat controlled, urban cities. Even State Patrolmen would not make a difference. If they see something disconcerting all they could do is appeal to the election official onsite. Election official says, “Nope, that’s how we do it here.” End of dispute.

Political Machines are full of bullies. Have you read about the Battle of Athens? Tammany Hall? Literal bullies. They will push, shove, shout, threaten… Happens all the time.

The above article refutes this article. How do we make a decision if we don’t have the correct information?

    ——————————————————————————
Hand-waving is only part of it. The out and out bullshit spewed is the major part. Magicians call it “misdirection”.

Wanda Murren talks about “undervotes”, as if this is an explanation. That explains differing totals for different offices. It doesn’t explain a positive difference between votes counted vs. the number of voters.

She also yammers about Philadelphia and Allegheny (Pittsburgh) counties not uploading their “full vote histories” yet. A) Why the hell not? It’s been 8 weeks. B) What critical data is in a “history” that would change the number of voters? C) Philly and Pgh both have a long and storied tradition of machine politics and the concomitant vote fraud. Expecting data from them to assist in finding fraud is like expecting a used car salesman to be honest about the milage on the odometer.

  23. Rufus, I know about the various corrupt machines. What you are saying is that the law does not apply to them. In Red controlled states the legislatures and governors could work together to change that. Laws with teeth in them can be passed. The governors can use their state troopers to enforce those laws. The excuse, “That’s how we do it here,” would no longer work. Additionally, the state patrols could infiltrate the machines and garner intelligence that would help counter their every move. Would they push back? Of course, they are bullies. If it takes tough jail sentences, back breaking fines, and more; it’s worth the effort. Free and fair elections are the foundation of a Democratic Republic. Mafia crime syndicates have been taken down. Why not vote fraud syndicates? Are we going to fight for the country or lay down?

  24. Rufus T Firefly,

In regard to Cook County’s dominance… bring the proven electoral college system to the states and just as in the federal system, big counties will cease to dominate the smaller counties.

As things stand, only Cook County residents have representation in Illinois.

  25. Geoffrey Britain,

I am embarrassed to say that I was not clever enough to think of the electoral college system at the state level and heard the idea for the first time several months ago. (Maybe here? Maybe from you?) It would be wonderful! Unfortunately, because of the power dynamics discussed, it seems unlikely to pass.

  26. Even the Dems know that the election was fraudulent. The problem is that they prefer that to Trump. Their real attitude is, “We stole it fair and square.”

  27. Rufus T. Firefly, Geoffrey Britain —

Reynolds v. Sims (1964) put the kibosh on electing legislatures by anything other than population.

  28. Is it not worth publishing the response from the PA DOS (https://wjactv.com/news/local/pa-republican-lawmakers-analysis-finds-presidential-election-numbers-dont-add-up) for some context …

“…To put it simply, this so-called analysis was based on incomplete data….”

“…At this time, there are still a few counties that have not completed uploading their vote histories to the SURE system. These counties, which include Philadelphia, Allegheny, Butler and Cambria, would account for a significant number of voters. The numbers certified by the counties, not the uploading of voter histories into the SURE system, determines the ultimate certification of an election by the secretary….”

Given the above, seems premature to declare this…

“…it is clear that the system is ridiculously compromised. It is now nearly two months after Election Day, Pennsylvania is a disputed state and has been from the start, and ***this vote-count discrepancy is just being discovered?…any discrepancy should not take two months to be discovered and announced***”

So, just what is the purpose to push this one side without the context to understand the whole, and then leaping to this conclusion? (Don’t we hate it when Dems do that?)

Anyone can “dispute” results for all time, the fact that it is disputed by one or many doesn’t itself make the results invalid nor illegitimate. One needs proof and to present and settle it in court.

If 80+ times at bat isn’t enough to disabuse one of these massive fraud claims, then one must believe that the courts (even those with judges appointed by Trump) are so compromised that there is no possibility of good faith on their part.

If so, why complain behind a keyboard? Really!

By this logic, if one truly believes these reports and their implications, all is already lost.

The only reason to hide behind your keyboards and yak about it, is a serious lack of conviction in what y’all are talking each other up on.

Cannot tell if this is all team based oneirism or onanism. Maybe both.

  29. Is it not worth publishing the response from the PA DOS

You mean the person responsible for ruining ballot security in Pennsylvania this year in a double act with Pennsylvania’s appellate judges?

  30. Big Maq:

You are seguing into trolldom with that last sentence. Watch it.

As far as the legal cases go, most have been dismissed on technical grounds without a full hearing of the actual evidence. In addition, in many cases there is no access to the needed evidence to prove a case. I happen to think – and have thought from the start – that fraud of this nature would be impossible to deal with through the courts. They are not equipped to deal with such cases when there are deadlines that are so close and when the chain of evidence is gone (for example, the separation of envelopes from the ballots they contained).
