Steele’s primary subsource was a person the FBI knew had been suspected of being a Russian agent — 10 Comments

  1. If Trump is re-elected, which I think likely, there will be consequences. One of which might be dismantling the FBI. Let the Marshall’s Service take over. Notice who is doing the work with Antifa.

  2. One of which might be dismantling the FBI.

You could cut it up into several specialized agencies. Identify the GS level of the agents purchasing liability insurance and sweep out anyone north of them.

You might also take instruction from the usual practice of state and local government and separate prosecution from policing and have several departments devoted to different aspects of public safety.

  3. It seems there is some common ground with the BLM movement here – defund FBI!

These issues are coming from the counter-intelligence section of FBI. Maybe that can be spun off like MI5 in UK.

  4. It isn’t just one or two agencies. It is the entire federal beauracracy. Draining the swamp will be a bloody affair. But it must be done if we are ever to reclaim our country.

  5. Gentleman Jim Comey was interviewed by Jake Tapper today. When asked if the Steele Dossier wasn’t discredited in January of 2017 Comey said, “………And again, remind them and everybody who still cares about this that the investigation was begun based on information having nothing to do with this Steele dossier, setting aside the merits of the Steele dossier.”

Yep. I’ve always said their alibi would be that they had information that cried out for an investigation. To do otherwise would have been a crime. Yet, much has been declassified and so far the Steele Dossier seems to have been their only predicate for the investigation. Comey is hinting that they had other suspicious information. So, James, pray tell, what was it? We’re waiting.

  6. NEO – “If I had to choose one single undertaking that has set this country on its present banana republic (or worse) course, it would be Crossfire Hurricane.”

I disagree. It was “mid-year exam” where Hillary was “exonerated”. Cross Fire Hurricane was just an extension of it. Going back farther it was Uranium One, or the IRS Tea Party spying or at the very beginning “Fast and Furious”. Funny thing is that all of these scandals except the IRS lead back to Hillary. The Eva Peron of our country.

The fact that our media did not hold the Obama administration to account during Fast and Furious will be one of the reasons that that administration continued on it’s path of Chicago behavior. If Holder, Clinton and Jarrett, the authors of this hair brain scheme was forced to resign maybe the Obama administration would have been more moderate……………Nah.

  7. One of which might be dismantling the FBI.
The NSA is wathcing you write stuff like that. They know where you live too.

  8. “…banana republic (or worse) course…”

There are several major contenders here.
    – There is, as stated, CH.
    – One should also add Hillary Clinton’s (HC?) decision NEVER to accept the results of the 2016 election, which to my mind SET the country on the path of CW2.
    – To this may be added Hillary Clinton’s—there she is again—evil ploy to fund the fictitious, slanderous and “salacious” Steele Dossier (via two cut-outs, no doubt because of Obama-style TRANSPARENCY).

To be sure, the FIRST and the THIRD are closely related; and these would ultimately be manipulated and magnified to justify the totally unprecendented (and, to many, eyebrow-raising) claims of the SECOND so that the ensuing tremendous and constant cacophony would serve to “PROVE” the hoax’s tendentious, lurid allegations—make that smears.

That being said, it ALL begins with Obama, with
the Main Stream Corrupt Media loyally riding shotgun (and then some).

  9. Darn, I forgot to mention our good friend, John Brennan, who played a magnificent cameo role in this whole convoluted, brilliantly—if evilly—conceived, mess.

One doozy of a scandal, though. You’d think they’d be proud of it!

(Actually, they are. Very much so. Problem is they got caught—except that there’s nothing in the MSCM! Ergo, they—Callou Callay!!—DID NOT get caught…)
