In Britain, the anti-racist thought police have come for the children — 27 Comments

  1. The young boy’s messages were immature, nasty and worthy of some sort of lecture from his parents about proper behavior and etiquette, but that the police should be involved in any way is further proof of the cultural insanity prevailing in much of the Western world, especially in England, the country in which, for decades, the police (as well as social workers, journalists, and politicians) turned a blind eye, from the fear of being called “racist”, to the violent abuse of tens of thousands of vulnerable young girls, often as young as 12, by Muslim rapists, euphemistically described in the British press as “Asian grooming gangs.”

  2. Britain’s had a ‘conservative’ government in place for 10 years. At least, that’s what I’ve heard.

  3. And I’m with the Twit who said this:
“great work, you locked up a 12-year-old for mean messages online”

The kid should have written PC-approved graffiti on a police station; they don’t arrest people for things like that anymore, at least in America.

That authorities are calling police in for what should be a parental lecture case is indeed indicative of the crazy days — remember the dangerous pop-tart gun? — so maybe there is some merit in sending out social workers instead of the SWAT team in some situations.
BUT that would still be overt governmental tyranny for offensive, but essentially harmless, behavior.

Why, no, I don’t think words are the same as violence; how did you guess?

And, as je reminded us, there are certain privileged groups in the world who don’t get arrested for anything, and the police seem to compensate by virtue signaling against the easy targets.

  4. After killing children in the womb became a sacrament, persecuting for ‘hate speech’ is only a baby step forward. Next comes the guillotine for playground infractions.

  5. BTW, the story from that last Twitchy should cause people to rethink the idea of sending social workers out to those domestic situations that so obviously don’t call for the armed police, who would only escalate the situation.
We should only send police to arrest unarmed preteens.

Two officers in McAllen, Texas, were shot and killed Saturday when they walked up to the door of a home where assaults had reportedly taken place, the police chief said.

Edelmiro Garza, Jr. 45, an eight-year veteran of the McAllen Police Department, and Ismael Chavez, 39, a two-year veteran, were killed before the gunman fatally shot himself, said Chief Victor Rodriguez.

“They go to the door of the residence,” Rodriguez said in a news conference. “A person who was a suspect of the incident met our officers at the door and shot both officers as they stood there.”

Neither Garza nor Chavez had time to radio for help or pull out their guns, he said.

Found that story on Twitchy also, with the expected rebuttals.

A short historical note: The American eagle looks to the right, the German one looks to the left. A right-facing Reichsadler was the Imperial symbol before the Nazis co-opted it when they took over the government, although there are examples of Nazi escutcheons with both of them.

The eagle on the shirt looks to the left, but the shirt printer probably just grabbed the first picture that came up in his browser.
Since no one in America today even remembers what the Bill of Rights says, I doubt that particular heraldic detail influenced USA Today in any significant fashion.

I am now waiting for the first Leftist who will demand we remove the US Eagle from all American sigils because it’s a hate symbol.

The fate of the hooked cross stamped on some of Kipling’s book covers is indeed illustrative. It isn’t on my edition, but I have seen it on other books of that vintage — which was decidedly pre-Nazi. (My Kipling set is in the same bookcase as my collected works of Joel Chandler Harris, BTW).

The German swastika (clockwise-arms) was culturally appropriated from the Ur-Aryans (per the Nazi view), but most of the world continues to use it in the context of its original symbolism.
    Wikipedia:

The swastika or sauwastika — as a character, ? (right-facing or clockwise) or ? (left-facing or counterclockwise) respectively — is a geometrical figure and an ancient religious icon in the cultures of Eurasia. It is used as a symbol of divinity and spirituality in Indian religions, including Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism.[1][2][3] In the Western world, it was a symbol of auspiciousness and good luck until the 1930s[4] when the right-facing tilted form became a feature of Nazi symbolism as an emblem of the Aryan race. As a result of World War II and the Holocaust, many people in the West still strongly associate it with Nazism and antisemitism.[5][6] Swastika still continues to be used as a symbol of good luck and prosperity in Hindu and Buddhist countries such as Nepal, India, Mongolia, and China. Swastika is very commonly used in Hindu marriage ceremonies.

Joy Reid posted worse stuff under her own name for years and yet MSNBC not only refuses to condemn her but actually promotes her instead. Meanwhile this guy, who no one has ever heard of, ##posts anonymously and Fox trips all over itself to condemn it as “horrific,” etc.

  8. I wasn’t censored, just didn’t get the excerpt into the block-quote!

Twitchy reminds us again that the Left’s principles and definitions are one-sided.

As Twitchy told you last week, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and grifter Al Sharpton were both on hand to help paint a giant yellow “Black Lives Matter” mural on Fifth Avenue right in front of Trump Tower in Manhattan. De Blasio said they were “liberating” the street.

Isn’t that allowed? 1st amendment you know

It’s only property. Insurance will pay for it.

It was mostly peaceful red paint

People are going to do what people are going to do.

We were told vandalism is a legitimate form of protest.

Protesting is the greatest form of patriotism.

  9. I think the appropriate “edit” of the BLM in front of Trump Tower would be to stencil in the names of the several dozen urban dwellers shot and killed since July 4 weekend.
What is deBlasio going to do? ERASE those names?

  10. AesopFan:

I remember my father telling me for some reason, when I was young, that police were very much at risk in answering domestic disturbances. My father was a lawyer, and he also told me he never took divorce cases because they were so messy.

  11. It has always interested me that the UK and Commonwealth countries–our closest political and cultural cousins in the world–have no legacy of free speech.

They certainly have no Constitution to fall back upon, and are left only to their sense of “fair play”.

This history is proving inadequate these days. Tommy Robinson would undoubtedly agree….

  12. A lot like another period in European history where social pressure insured compliance preventing the prevention of war…

  13. Had a bunch of of Muslims running a kebab joint kept that kid on their sodomy rotation to give the goat a rest every now and then, the Police (sic) would have been far slower to act.

    Britain is finished.

  14. Search “Adam Goode racist girl”

Sydney Swans AFL player heard someone shout “monkey” or some-such…hunted her down in the stands…had security remove her from game…absolutely monstered her in the press…she was about 12-13…Goodes became a “hero.” She was crucified.

  15. Is this not why we distinguish between juvenile and adult? So that stupid adolescent behavior does not mark one for life?

Our society is willing to throw a 12 year-old boy under the bus. Shameful…

  16. The law enforcement culture in the UK has been coming for the children for some time now – they just used to outsource the task to immigrants from Central Asia.

It’s hard to respect a culture that criminalizes the idea of self-defense and then targets the young as a capper.

  17. The UK has been in the early stages of its transformation into a police state for some time. Arguably since Enoch Powell’s “Rivers of Blood” speech. Orwell’s 1984 was not fiction but prediction.

Tommy Robinson is far from the only individual who has suffered the State’s boot, he’s just the most prominent.

The arrest of a 12 year old is an excellent barometer of just how far the UK has fallen. Will he be sent to a reeducation camp? If not, its not far off as the State will not tolerate disagreement.

  18. Remember the Covington kids.

“My father was a lawyer, and he also told me he never took divorce cases because they were so messy.” – Neo

AesopSpouse started out practicing law with a general-purpose firm.
He decided to move into corporate work soon after the father of a woman filing for divorce rampaged through their offices with a gun looking for the soon-to-be-ex-husband.
As one of the partners said one time, “People don’t come to us until after they have everything screwed up.”

  19. It’s pretty much official what many have been saying for years, albeit half in jest–“racism” is now the worst crime in the Western world, worse than murder.

Contrast the arrest of this 12-year-old (who we assume is white, as I can’t see them going after and locking up an “asian” kid for making the same comments) with one of the convicted 14-year-old murderers of Tessa Majors in Manhattan this past winter. At most, the murderer will only have to serve 6 months in a juvenile detention center before he is free as a bird. This “racist” kid in England will probably have to serve double or quadruple the time in such a facility with many more years of reeducation to follow.

  20. Our society is willing to throw a 12 year-old boy under the bus. Shameful…

There’s a substantial constituency for doing so here, but the West Midlands is the West Midlands and West Virginia is West Virginia. Thousands of miles separate the two.

  21. Note how the most histrionic and megalomaniacal among Britain’s black population are being succored. The soccer player in question was sent via instagram a couple of images, one of which was a pickaninny on a cereal box.

  22. Art Deco –
The West Midlands may be the West Midlands, but the West Midlands (and England in general) are more than willing to allow Muslim gangs to rape young women without consequence because enforcing the law is “racist” or something.

  23. Britain has been over the last 30 odd years the canary in the coal mine foreshadowing America’s recent decent Into madness

  24. Orwell’s 1984 was not fiction but prediction.

The same can be said of Ymarisms, GB. Predictions, not fictions. Although if people wish to believe my words are fantasy, they are free to do so, if that makes them feel better.
