Yes. Except that I don’t think Joe is so far gone that he can’t give informed consent. And I think he’s very interested in running, which is his life’s ambition.
I’ve said it elsewhere — and perhaps here too — someone near him should arrange to have him moved into a “memory care” facility that is painted white and made up to look like the White House. He’d be happy, the Democratic Party would be happy, and whoever is tapped to run in his place would be happy.
